Re: Emergency Escape Beacons

Thanks guys! Feels good to get a thumbs-up on Xelerus again! :D Great idea! This will help on my permas :D Exactly what this is designed for - even if just in the early game. Hopefully the one-use aspect of it will mean it's not just overpowered and god-like, but a tactical choice for hardcore playe...

Emergency Escape Beacons

Hey guys, long time since I lost posted, just recently got back into Transcendence, and was inspired to mod something into the game. Emergency Escape Beacons After ruining my perfect near-death streak through the early levels, I thought of creating a device that would allow players to get out of tro...

Re: Anyone mind catching an old veteran up?

Thanks guys!

BTW, for now, I won't be doing any modding, sadly -- no time, unfortunately. :(

Looking forward to getting back into the game tho' - it's been too long! :D

Anyone mind catching an old veteran up?

Hello! ThePrivateer returns from his interstellar voyage into the far reaches of the galaxy (read, he found some time off) and has found that his home world is much different! I downloaded 1.08b eagerly waiting to see what has changed since I last played (1.04) and wow! A lot has gone on while I was...

Re: Firefox 4 released

I've got it. It's pretty cool - you get to see far, far more of the webpages now, everything is more streamlined....the bookmarks toolbar is a bit off, but if you leave autoprompt on, it will suggest a site when you type into the "awesome bar". Upgrading is a dream - no uninstall neccessary, a...

Re: [Mod]Hell's Trinity

Ok, in order to keep things nice and easy (and to make sure people are using a current version of Hell's Trinity) I have released the so-called Beta, however the mod is still not finished. You cannot "succeed" in the game and the main storyline is still incomplete. However, Lincoln has received a ma...

Re: Gentlemen, We Have Weapon errors.

try putting type as particles. It may be that plasma doesn't work with beam. This here is the coding for a Plasma gun like the Ferrian plasma cannon. It shoots out the weird little glowing particles that look like fire. But this is for a standard, tear-drop shaped plasma weapon. Both examples taken...

Re: Galactic Map mod

I'll post a guess right now: Your ship has an invalid starting system. Ahh yes, I made that mistake early in my modding days...in the case of the Galactic Map mod and the Network, the starting system has to be "SE", and the marker "Start". All bets are off for other adventure extensions, but that w...

Re: LEGO ship Yellowjacket

Everything in transcendence but the background (and maybe the nebulae) are images. You could completely redo the images to make lego space! Lego Transcendence would be awesome. Can small, plastic bricks detonate and destroy your ship? Let's find out together. The (real) LEGO Games have al...

Re: Community Census

It should technically be Sex, not Gender, as gender refers to an abstract concept of self-identification, while sex refers to your chromosomes. (Basically if you have a Y chromosome or not). Still, we have a community map, so I think that the location part of this is rather redundant. There should ...

Re: LEGO ship Yellowjacket

Oh finally someone said it. I think it would be pretty amazing if the entire game was replaced with lego graphics - or most of it. Wouldn't that be amazing if it was the LEGO mod? :D I mean certain things couldn't be changed but player usable items and wreckage stuff might be possible. Its not my m...

Re: A few things I've noticed playing

I agree with you on Autons being annoying, and as for the cyndocist cannon (spelling?), I'm pretty sure the ammo is not for sale anywhere. Shame, 'cos it's a neat weapon. :D

Re: Galactic Map mod

Hm. Don't panic about most of the Duplicate Names...the Network mod creates those...I'm guessing the problem is this player ship you have made. Can you paste the code of it, or copy it here? Adventure Extensions are very finicky about those types of ships, and considering the Network and Galactic Ma...

Re: Galactic Map mod

Thanks, all, for the answers. I'm running version 1.04 right now, and I tried to use your Galactic Map mod, Privateer, and got the response "Transcendence has stopped responding...windows is searching for a solution" etc., etc. Evidently, there was no solution, because the program never actually fi...
