I remember getting an ion flame cannon in st.k's once... and a katana... the flame cannon might be useless in lategame, but for dealing with mid-game ships (especially big ones), it's not too shabby (does eat horribly at your reactor though...) I've had that as well.....although I've never liked th...

:D Yes, I do love the IFC... it is incredibly uber for most jobs... It's just so fun pointing it at a swarm of pteravores or gunships, and watching them "go away" Basecracking-projectile soaking-swarmbusting-capital ship remover-"& much much moar" type weapons are rather rare......and it ...

I did this (after using light ithalium treated with Orthosteel nanos.....+50 makes it seriously good armor)...and it went extremely well, desite my having to wait FOREVER for it to repair itself sometimes. Paired with a Taikon 200, it was amazing. Another interesting thing: The Iocrym Fracture Canno...

This also seems to apply to dead stations O_o http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p201/JRA_SHRIKE/b361fc7a.jpg As you can see, the Kobol Base is extremely dead. HOWEVER: Even though nothing is getting killed (at all, except the warrirors that I'm pelting with my uber-enhanced TEV-9 of doom)......the ...

Handy hint: You can exploit the bug I posted in the Bug Forum so that Warriors spawn and attack an asteroid. That way, for all the death-spawn Warriors will attack you, the rest will only be a risk if you don't dodge their misses ;) You can use this to get the armor, the guns, and/or the fuel...but ...

How many?Fossaman wrote:Loving the new revenge code on the Ferians, George. I was not expecting that many warriors at once. I figured I could just bust the nest, loot, and boogie to a friendly station for some help with the miners. I did survive though. Heavy Ithalium is nice stuff.

I'd also like to see something added to prevent the AI from approaching stations that will happily blow them away. I've seen Korolov freighters do this....so enemies travelling to stations might be able to use the same code. Although sometimes the AI would have not a hope in hell. EG. A Dwarg Maste...

Ferians attacking asteroid
I came back to a weapons station (Bushido merchant, IIRC) from a rather annoying combat with a flock of Molotoks (I'd blown up the BM station in the system) to find this at the Ferian Colony next to it: http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p201/JRA_SHRIKE/09aeaea8.png Basically: SEVEN Ferian Warriors,...

unless you almost never get that far or play much, i am really surprised that its only happened once each to you. i get this at least once every two playthroughs that get to the cscs. many were just debug playthroughs, and i had a rather high .99c pre-rigel mortality rate due to running out of fuel...

I don't know about the PM6 Slicer since, until you mentioned it, I had no idea of its existence, however, I do have a dual mining laser on my current mining kit. Its just two mining lasers working side by side, a few pixels apart (close than the standard dual configuration). I figure since you typi...

Leaving aside the discussion about wether mining is worthwhile... I would quite like to see a dual-mining laser device, using a firing layout similar to a PM6 Slicer....so that both sets of beams can be fired at the same asteroid. This would also be a slightly better in combat that frankly useless s...
