Re: Vary Ships by Enhancements/Defects
Regardless of the cost of ship weapons, I do think players should have the option of buying the hull of a ship and refitting what they want. This will raise the hull prices but in general, should make it easier for players to consider and buy ships. Adding defects and enhancements further incentiviz...

Re: Vary Ships by Enhancements/Defects
@Relanat Enhancements/defects should not change the fundamental aspects of a ship. I would advocate for reactor efficiency, faster weapon attack speed, and faster acceleration but I would not advocate for changing the amount of weapon slots or device slots. To differentiate ships with enhancements a...

Re: Vary Ships by Enhancements/Defects
The premise of this suggestion would be change how ships are represented and therefore would have to change George's style. Variations of ships for specific ships does not exclude the production quality. If a ship were to be produced in a scrapyard vs a grand shipyard, there will likely be a big dif...

Re: Vary Ships by Enhancements/Defects
I think you are misunderstanding the post. I mean that a Wolfen could have different enhancements/defects. For example, a Wolfen model could have the enhancement that every reactor has 20% bonus base efficiency compared to regular models. This would come at a higher cost to buy. It is the same ship ...

Vary Ships by Enhancements/Defects
The ships do not differ except in equipment. The major reason why players want to buy a ship is because another ship offers something that the current ship doesn't have. This almost certainly means lower tier ships and current ship chassis are not considered. I think adding enhancements or defects t...

Transponder Identification
I'm playing Starsector (it's a similar but also very different game). One of the key and simple mechanics is the ability to turn on/off your Transponder. The transponder increases the range at which your ship can be detected and conveys your ship's identity to everyone around you. This is important ...

Concepts from other Games
I am curious. What concepts have you guys seen and want from other games to be in Transcendence? Recently, I've been playing Starsector and Endless Sky. Both are rogue-like space combat/exploration/trade games. I just started Starsector so I am going to focus on Endless Sky. I find Endless Sky's tec...

Storyline in Eternity Port
I got Eternity Port. I finished the Luminous and ED/APD storylines. I got into the UAS and NAU. The only noteworthy mission line I didn't get into was the rescuing the Commonwealth Scientists for CSC Terra. I finished all the Commonwealth missions available and wasn't able to get it. I'll try again ...

Re: Bosses by difficulty
Blast weapons are almost meaningless against the Dragon Slaver. There is a reason why dragging the Dragon Slaver to the Huari takes literally a lifetime to deal with because it's shields and armor are incredibly resistant against blast. It's harder to kill a Dragon Slaver with Blast, than it is to k...

Re: Bosses by difficulty
Yeah. For example, you should have around level 8 gear by the time you fight the Dragon Slaver. However, if you have weapons one level lower, let's say your launcher or primary weapon are blast base, then it becomes an overwhelmingly difficult fight even if you have level 9 shields.

Bosses by difficulty
Just a general ranking of boss ships Tell me if I am missing anything from the base game or if I misspelled something. Opinions and dissents are appreciated. By the order of systems you "should" find the bosses: Arco Vaughn Warlord Charon Frigate "Kronosaur" "The Slicer" Gladiator Xenophobe Destroye...
