Re: Simultaneously turning and firing is not always possible
I have edited my original message. I highly doubt it is an issue with my keyboard, since I have used two totally different keyboards on two totally different machines. One of them is a laptop and another a stock keyboard that came with a desktop. Did you use the arrow keys to move, or the numpad or...

Re: Simultaneously turning and firing is not always possible
This works perfectly fine for me. The ship turns left, thrusts forward, and fires its weapon.
This is almost certainly a problem with your keyboard. Because of the way they are wired, not all possible 3-key combinations are detected in many keyboards.

Re: Sandbox?
That is the '/msg' command, so long as someone with that name- Nickserv in this case- is connected to the same IRC network as you, the message will go through. Barring a series of unlikely events, Nickserv should always be present on Freenode. You can enter that in either the channel, or the network...

Re: Suicide Freighter
According to the code, it's a ten percent chance.
And in all the suicide runs I've had so far(15+), no hostiles spawned at all. If no hostiles spawn when you are escorting the superfreighter, it's a good hint that it's on a suicide run, and it's helpful to soften it up in advance.

Re: Weapons Extended 4
I'm glad to hear that you are updating WE; some of my zaniest and most enjoyable games were with WE. :P For utility mods, I usually just have Captains Log, and scuttle wrecks. I used to use SiaFu's stations and item graphics, but they haven't been updated for a while. I don't think they'd mesh well ...

Re: Rookie Questions & Musings
I'd recommend checking out the wiki, if you haven't already. Although it doesn't have anything about Domina powers, I know that it has a helpful list of all misc items, and the best places to buy and sell them, and a page on the Tinkers and what they combine.

Freenode FAQ about registration
You don't really need to register. All it does is reserve your nick name, and without it you can't have voice or op privileges.

Re: Mysterious Freighter Wreck...
It's an encounter related to Volkov, a wingman you can pick up from the Korolov shipping missions. It doesn't mean anything if you don't have him.
Spoiler:It's the body of his wife, Helena. He'll leave your service if he sees it.

Re: Oh, this is weird! O.O
There more than a dozen different Debug stations that spawn in Eridani when Debug mode is on. They are there so that George doesn't have to travel halfway across the topology to test his stations
Debug mode is definitely not supposed to be used for normal play.

Re: Wolfen's starting configuration can exceed 10 MW.
Not to mention that you are more likely to hit an enemy with a dual laser cannon than a turbolaser cannon, even if you are hitting for half damage, it's better than no damage. And FWIW, I've never had to buy ammo for the NAMI missile launcher. It show up often enough in low level random loot, and it...

Re: Where are the missions ?
Every Korolov station will give you a random number of escort missions before they ask you to help them destroy the local Charon stronghold. But if you find the stronghold before they give you the mission, you will not be able to do any escort missions, they will only ask you to help them destroy it...

Re: Finding a Shipyard
There are no shipyards in the St Katherine's system, because there is no ship changing in the unmodded game. The only shipyard in the game is the Ares Shipyard, and that's just a hostile station that spawns enemy vessels. If you want to be able to change your ship mid-game, you will need to install ...

Re: Just Games
My personal favorite games. I'd easily recommend all of these games to anyone. Transcendence: Barely needs mentioning, really. Baldurs Gate Trilogy: The story is still one of the best in any video game I've ever played, and is truly 'epic' in every sense of the word. Neverwinter Nights: I prefer the...

IANAL, but that's my best interpretation of what I've read. Wikipedia has a good overview of United States copyright law, if you're interested.

Re: Just Games
I agree that by default AOE III must be the best. I'm waiting for AOE II's software license to expire so I can download it legally. A similar thing happened to Axis and Allies, which by the way is another of my favorite games. It came out in 1999 with a 10 year license and was then downloadable for...
