Unless you are really lucky and get a free mining cannon, the systems where titanium ore could be valueble are often far gone by the time you could get a lot. I rarely have a mining laser in the third system. Maybe I just have bad luck.

Maybe to satisfy everbody, shields should just have an Effect modifier. All it would do would make it so that you could select effects. I definetly agree. I once messed up a save by hitting the disintigreater for the command ship, then realized that I couldn't complete the game. needless to say, I was bumbed. :(

The speed could be part of the damage, but it would be better, in my opinion, to have it seperatly. The damage type most affected by speed would be kinetic. Shield ideas

This is a thread for a couple shield ideas that had um... "popped up" in the wrong forum. Anyhow, what I meant for the visible shield is that you would have a tranluecent bubble around the ship, that would flicker or something when hit with weapons fire. I have never seen the menu data either, I think it is in the .exe file. Which means that george will probaly have to be the one to do it. Are you alowed to decompile the .exe, or would that be against copyright?
