Unless the fuel is a longzhu sphere. Of course, spheres have a better use than as fuel.

If the input qualifies for multiple rows, it uses the first (from top to bottom) qualifying row found. If you notice, the rows that accept items less than level 8 require fewer resources than those that do not. Also, transmuting weapons requires more resources than other items.

For the player, combat power varies by reactor power:

10MW = 4
up to 25MW = 7
up to 50MW = 10
up to 100MW = 14
up to 250MW = 22
up to 500MW = 32
up to 1GW = 46
1.2GW = 74

If you enhance a 250MW reactor (to 300MW), your combat power will rise from 22 to 32.

For enemies, it varies by their score.

The fabricator is the most overpowered feature in the game, or nearly so. I get nearly all of my endgame equipment from the fabricator. I strive to get a jumpdrive as soon as possible, then warp to the end and look for a fabricator to transmute much of the looted junk I hoard up to that point.

Minor update uploaded today (Mar 1, 2011). It fixes the problem in which the player could not rebuild an Earth slaver. I overlooked the fact the game has two versions of the Earth slaver.

One enhancement I almost did to Ferians in Playership Drones, but did not due to filesize, was let the player buy their ships at a hive (and pilot them if desired). Ships would cost rin due to the Ringer connection.

If the damaged device is installed, use an item that enhances it. For example, longzhu sphere on a damaged energy weapon.
