Instead of text box stuff, why not a radio device virtual slot that lets you select an option to broadcast, and then a list of options to select, that result in predetermined messages being broadcast when a station sends out a broadcast request?

I'd really, really, really love to see shields on stations- heavy duty shields much stronger than those made for ships, for proportionally bigger stations. It'd make a hell of a lot more sense than the current "just let the weapons fire hit the stations where thousands of people live/work". It never...

Hmm, really? i've seen plenty of damaged modded weapons and armor plates as salvage in all the time I've been playing.

RE: damaged upgraded items found on wrecks: It was an undamaged +30 turbolaser that you damaged when you destroyed the ship. Make sense? It generated as an undamaged weapon, then the destruction applied the damaged tag to it. At least, that's what I've seen discussed previously.

I like it. As for the higher level armors... Why not just convert them to an appropriate amount of high-grade ore equivilent to their level? As for player-made stuff- Why not have anything that isn't part of the system get smelted down to processed alloy, which you can use as part of smelting to boo...

The ships in game already made by George look more realistic/balanced than imaginative (though no doubt plenty of imagination was used). I'd love to see George just letting his imagination go wild and making something up regardless of thinking about balance, and I think that's what the OP is asking.

I'd honestly recommend making a dual boot windows(small)/ubuntu(large) partition system, because there's plenty of stuff you can only do on windows still, sadly. That way if say you're running a windows game, then you can boot up in windows, while doing pretty much everything else in Ubuntu.

I am a strict player, not a modder. I just don't do computer languages. >_>; I also haven't been playing as much lately due to an influx of Duke Nukem Forecver (I waited 13 years for it, dammit!) among others.

-.- If you have the read only folder attribute checked, uncheck it while under the admin account. I dunno what he's thinking telling you to ignore it. A folder read only property applies the read only property to all files contained, and Vista is stupid in that it loves to make you work your ass off...
