I thought I'd read somewhere that transdata does not work with the RC versions. I will give it a shot.

That's only transdata 1.6 and prior - 1.8 is fully updated

I have a minor issue though: laser amplifier is too infrequent. In most of my playthroughs in RC5 & RC6 (preStK), it didn't even appear. Kinetic upgrade and weapon optimizer seem to be more frequent. If players consistantly opt for optimizers for laser weapons then I fear laser amplifier would be treated as a useless item.

BTW, the new font appears good on my screen.

hmm.. first playthrough in rc6. a pirate ship in system 2? not sure if that's just a case of bad luck or what but my stock freighter stood no chance. was doing a korolov mission and lost my freighter for the first time ever, then got destroyed by the pirate ship. not really complaining, it was only 10 minutes of play, but still, rough start for RC6.

Meh...Yes the pirate ships are a tad more difficult now... but that's only if you wanna let them live for a little bit so that you can keep the kronos off your tail. Personally I just go find a particle weapon and own them all. Then sell all the loot and find myself a Yoroi S500... I usually seem to be able to find a level6 in rigel aurius. Then I use Hiro's on the level 6 and I'm good to go till I find level 8 shields (level sevens are good but I prefer spending money on other upgrades and let the +50 level 6 do the job...)

I agree with Wolfy; the Charon Pirates definately make better use of their frigates. This adds a bit more spice to the Trans-experiance!

easy for you to say, wolfen player.. j/k. it was just bad luck to encounter one so early with a stock freighter, that's all. can't exactly run away when a frigate outruns you.

They are fast enough to outrun the freighter?

The osaka outruns them easily enough at .22c or .20c, don't remember which it was...

the freighter with cargo is sloooooooooooow. i had just stocked up from eridani with about 100 tons of cargo so anything can outrun the freighter.

Oh, that would explain it... how did you get 100 tons of cargo from eridani though?

i hoard until my cargo bay is full. i mean, it is a freighter right?

Why would you ever take ore out of Eridani? You won't find a better price than the corporate enclave there for along time.
