By popular request, here is a quick update on my progress on 0.99.

It has been a while since the last release, and the next release is probably still a couple of month away, but I have made lots of progress--I am probably 60-70% done with coding for 0.99.

So far, I have adhered closely to the feature list specified in the Roadmap.

I have more or less completed enhancements to Korolov--although these enhancements do not radically change the missions, they do add a little more variety.

Stealing an idea from DigDug, I have added station explosions.

I have added 6 new Domina powers.

Finally, I am in the middle of working on Adventure extensions, which should allow people to create their own mini-games without having to replace Transcendence.xml.

You said it was only going to be for select stations...Which ones?
I have added 6 new Domina powers.

Digdug's completely destroy the player, they are overpowered explosions. They aren't going to be like that, are they?

Are you also going to release an archive with all the past versions of Transcendence? I'd very much like this. As I'm sure a few, if not any, would.
Charon Fizz-Soda! It's Red! It tastes like Awesomness! AND PIRATES MADE IT! Better than Eridani Mineral Water too!

Not really, I would complain that digdug's explosions cannot do anything to a person with a mammoth 50 or better. Sure, you have to watch out for the "killed by a Charon Pirate Cache in Eridani" message, but other than that, it is not overpowered.

any -> many?

I'm not sure if I really get the point of such an archive, but I suppose it might be useful/fun for some.

I'm a little behind where I want to be.

I've finished the Adventure extension work. I'm in the middle of some improvements to Eridani.

After that, I need to do a test and clean up pass on all the new features I implemented. Once that's done, I will release 0.99.

I don't have a definite timeline, unfortunately. But I'll post more updates as I go (and if I don't, remind me).

I'm still in the middle of updating Eridani. I have a couple of goals:

I want to make Eridani more interesting so new players get a preview of the depth of the game. I've added some minor missions in Eridani (none compulsory) that help the new player figure out what to do. (e.g., "Go destroy that pirate base")

I want to make Eridani a little easier. Right now, new players have to deal with two enemies in Eridani. Charon pirates are easy for us, but they are fast and hard to hit, which makes them difficult for new players. Outlaws are really hard to kill and pack a big punch, so they can be both annoying and deadly.

My proposed solution is to decrease the number of Charon pirate bases in Eridani and to move Outlaws to level II systems (and maybe change them). In addition, I have made Centauri warlords larger and slower, so they are easier for new players, and I have added them to Eridani.

wouldn't lowering the amount of Charon pirate bases in Eridani make it harder to upgrade in Eridani throwing them into the harder enemies unprepared?
I know I do tons of upgrading in Eridani because I know that there are Corsair II, Plague, and Revelations Missileships soon.

Well, I would compensate by adding Centauri bases (perhaps more of them, to compensate for the fact that they are weaker).
