Someone should post a comment about the Linux port.

George,

I'm sure they'd be happy to hear from you personally, too. A lot of their articles get noticed by software authors who come and talk to people.

I just kind of gushed a bit myself; feel free to join the discussion!

 If you click on the "Nethack" link in that review, the first other game mentioned in the Nethack review is... Battle for Wesnoth...
If anyone has been wondering where i've been gone, its there. I'm jumping around between 3 games, and 4 mods, so I've been busy. I'll probably be back here by the end of January...

BTW
Their version of it is out of date- the most recent is 1.5.7, and the stable version is 1.4.7
Also their link is broken...

Wow, I'd say that is a really nice review. A little short on the imagery, though. One site that does have lots of nice screenshots is Abandonia Reloaded:

This is where I first discovered Transcendence (and I'm so happy I did). Someone (more qualified than a mere Anarchist like myself) should definitely post a new update, since the last was done around v95(!). Also, please tell them the game doesn't require DirectX 9 - I've been using an old Dx7 laptop for years and, though I might be missing out on some great graphics, Transcendence is still my favorite...

To borrow from Stormhawk: This *is* our game, and George will always be our hero.
Thank you, George.
