People have got to have noticed by now that when one kills a dwarg master, the raiders that follow become green... and are yours to "command".

At least, they won't try to shoot you...though they aren't much of a harm.

They're like ferians...littered all over the place...I once cruised through a system, killing dwarg masters to add raiders to my team.

I gotta say, they're AWESOME!!!!

warning, the above contain spoilers...oops. Too late.

That's pretty awesome. Do you know if they'll follow AI ships that kill a Dwarg master? That could get interesting.

Yeah, I noticed that too :D Those Dwarg Raiders blow up easier than corsairs do!

That just made me think that there is probably a bug there. The zoanthropes will follow any ship (even AI) that kills the Dwarg master. Unfortunately, I think the zoanthrope's sovereign is always set to something that is friendly to the player (rather than something that is friendly to whatever killed the master).

I don't really see what's wrong with them joining an AI - isn't that realistic?
Also, I like the We fOLlOw THe sTrONg message :D

I think what George is saying is that, say for example a Xenophobe kills a Dwarg master, the ships will then follow the Xenophobe, but will be hostile to it instead of friendly. Although... Xenophobes don't like ANYONE so maybe that would still make sense in that particular case. Bad example I guess.

Regardless, the raiders are cool.

Just wished they had better armor though, so my ICX wouldn't cut through them so easily. then they'd go "Grr!" at me, and i don't know if this affects the recruitment rate or not...

In one game, about 30 of them were surrounding a commonwealth armored station. I guess the station killed the master. My gf thinks they're cute.

Last game, i had 3 behemoths following me around. Much more resistant than the little raiders. :)

What's with those Dwarg masters? It fires tracking EMP-'shells' at a staggering rate, these are very hard to outrun but maybe that's just lack of practice... And then when it finally has got me sitting like a lame duck (for ages or so it feels) the Dwargs will continue their patrol and just ignore me?! Only once i got into deep trouble due to a group of barbarians (plus vikings) which also EMP'd me, the Yoroi S500 was kept around 0 for about 5 minutes, i managed to stay alive thanks to my ablative coating and fled into nebulae.

The messages bore me when they're too repetitive and i really dislike sitting still, but you knew that. *stands up to find something in fridge*

I like to target the D masters then shoot N loot 'em. The KM500 missile takes 'em out quickly. Once I find an undamaged ion launcher and enough shells, I'll have it installed then use it on those D masters-give 'em a taste of their own medicine.
As for those D raiders, they're like little knats that keep buzzing in your face and end up not living too long. Ooops! Sorry lil fella, that happens when ya get in the line of fire! Grrr...
