What would be a good term to call them? since althrough they are put in the neo-human section right now, they are confirmed to be digital entities or collections of entities.
So what would be a good term for them? Digital Intelligences? (Since they may not necessarily be artificial; the CDM does have Uploaded Intelligences from what I can tell)

Consciousness is a special concept that adheres to different rules. Not all rules have been revealed in the storyline, but one is clearly that Domina (a hyper-intelligent consciousness) can communicate (and maybe influence) you from 30,000 light-years away.
Whether that's because conscious thought travels faster than light or because consciousness is related to quantum "spooky action at a distance," or something entirely different, who knows.
So if Luminous is conscious (and I think it probably should be) then it could potentially span multiple systems and still be a single, coherent intelligence (though it doesn't have to be).
