So, I'm playing through .99, and when I get to a late level system that has gaian ships (which fly around blowing up wrecks), I did my standard trick: I flew to a ringer base and surrounded it with crates of junk (one helium rod per crate, or maybe a broken itme in a crate, whatever). This draws the gaians, who get shot at by the ringers, and then I get to loot the gaian ship.
Except that's not what happened.
The gaian arrived, the ringer shot at him, and because the gaian was passing over the ringer base when it died, the "outgassing" explosion from the gaian ship blew up the ringer shipyard! I stood there, stunned, for a moment, and then gleefully looted both the gaian ship and the ringer shipyard.
Moral of the story: Due to "outgassing" explosions, enemy capital ships can now be used as anti-station suicide bombers.

Except WMD explosions are FUN! I set up a modship w/ Thermo explosion 4 as explosion type, park next to a CW station and self-destruct.
I really don't care if I get my hair cut... *snip* NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
