What is the Purpose of that Freighter,
You know the one, Where it says

"You see the body of a woman still strapped to the command chair on the bridge"

???
If Transcendence was made in 3D, I would die of Happiness.

It's an encounter related to Volkov, a wingman you can pick up from the Korolov shipping missions. It doesn't mean anything if you don't have him.

Spoiler:It's the body of his wife, Helena. He'll leave your service if he sees it.

ITs randomly generated, like a standard encounter, but it only generates once.

I generally find the wreck after St. K's, and before Sanctuary, if that helps.

Spoilers - obviously

It's Volkhov's wife. If you still have him at that point he will dock with the ship, stay there a while and ignore you and then leave. It's a really cool little part of the game that I feel is very poignant and sad.

Sorry to add rain on this : but I have developed a habit of going after better shields and weapons before taking the responsibility of guarding another ship. This leads me deep into the Galaxy and I often find Wonderful things...and some sad things.....

If I find Helena: I destroy her ship, I started this out of feeling unclean after boarding the wreck ( the first time I missed it and Volkov found it I decided to be more careful if I accept his services: like making him wait safely on a planet while I clear the flight path).

DO NOT try to destroy the wreck once he finds it : he will attack you in his grief and his guns can HURT!!!!.

Docking with that ship while Volkov is around crashed my game :(

That's funny. I saw Helena only twice one in 104 another in 105. I still have Volkov with me and I'm near the climax of 101 but still no Helena :? .
