spoilers.......I was not going to tell everything: Kate's encounter has options, including Donation of fuel to her ship : but If you tell players EVERYTHING at once it takes the challenge into " expected events that might not be called on " . ( how often do you donate fuel to Kate?, seriously.... )

Only once and lots of it. I carry more pteracnium than Hadron so the former is enough.
