Eh, autons are nice, but not essential. Autosentinels die within about 4 matches anyway.

The MAG launcher is actually very useful, if you can hit with it.

I find the arena is a cakewalk with the smart cannon and cannon accelerator. The only way you can lose is if you eat a bunch of mags.
In the rare event that you can't find a smart cannon and cannon accelerator, you can probably find an omni turbo laser and the laser improving device.

More often then not though, you can get the smart cannon, the cannon accelerator, and the other device that improves all devices for the company that makes the smart cannon. Stacking those with the weapon enhancement rom or a couple cannon enhancement useables, and the smart cannon can be useful up to ringer space.

in 1.08b, all you needed to do to win was to save the game right after the match started, then load it again, and then kill your helpless glitched opponent (the AI's orders were not being saved correctly)

I can defeated everyone using a fast-fire laser canon(+fast or a laser enhancer, or nothing) + Class III shield(+20%, sometimes I use a Yoroi enchancer ROM, and get 50% more power) + NAMI Launcher(with KM500 or KM110, thanks pirates, I loved your frigates!! )...

and, btw, I aways fight with the guys with Mag launchers, is good money(They usually give more money for winning the battle, but I chose them because of their ammo...Free mags to everyone!! )

Hmm, I never though about the salvage returns like that before.

I always approached it in a much more 'pick the one who gives the most money' sort of way.

I think your thread should be more persuasive, so you can have a sale. It's not that is not usefull, but you should be more descriptive.

I figured everyone looted the ships in the arena. I try to have dull fights so I can attack more ships and get more stuff (seems like that's how it works, haven't checked tha code). I also hope for armor and weapon shops right outside the entrance so selling the booty is easier, damaged or not it goes. If the cargo hold gets too full just store it outside for a little while untl the arena is cleared.

Um...I was playing my game where it just gives you opponents, so you can't pick your fight.

I won with an X-Ray Laser and an enhanced Monopole Deflector Screen. No Launchers.
