This is a snippet from the stats feed:
Game Statistics:  # of Male Players: 366~, # of female players: 144~
Game Statistics:  500 players have left human space since 1.08, 466 have died trying.
Game Statistics:  60 players have scores above 50,000 in game, while 600 have less then 50,000 points.
Game Statistics: The deadliest systems (top 10) Eridani with 165 deaths, Lalandei with 27, Rigel with 27, Groombridge with 25, Indil with 22, Ras Alhaguel with 18, Charon with 14, Orgos with 13, Cygnil with 11.
Game Statistics: 71 players attempted the life of a Pirate and died trying.
Game Statistics: Average Game play time 9674 seconds for an average of about 2.6 hours of game play each game.
Game Statistics: About 3% of players play for 15 minutes or less.
Game Statistics: Most common Epitaph: Self Distruction with a total of 143. Primarily in Eridani
Game Statistics: Most common Epitaphs: "Destroyed by Arco Vaughn in Eridani", "Destroyed by Centauri Heavy Raider in Eridani", "self-destructed in the Groombridge System"
These are just very rough stats so far, but they do a paint a pretty good picture of how the game is being played based on people's tombstones.

Hopefully other people find this as fascinating as I do!

I forgot some people don't play permadeath, nvm. :oops:

This is only since the login system was implemented.
But yeah, permadeath. :P

I can work to calculate that out, but it involves a lot of number crunching.

The Login within Transcendence game - at the top of the screen lets you login and register.

Right now it primarily posts to the Multiverse, but soon it will allow game saves, extensions and such being loaded directly from the web.
