This is helpful. Is the browser also inside the virtual machine? If you can access via browser, then it's not a server problem or a network problem. What kind of virtual machine are you using? Are you on a Mac?

Yes, I'm on a mac. I use VM Wares Virtual Machine. But the browser I use is my mac's native Safari. Also, I've tried connecting with my friend's notebook, which is Windows 7, and still cannot connect to the multiverse. Same error message. Maybe it's a problem with my internet provider, I'll try other faraway place when I have the chance.

It could be a proxy issue. Browsers know how to get through a proxy, but Transcendence currently does not. If the browser works but Transcendence does not (on the exact same configuration) then it could be a proxy issue. I'll make improvements in the next few releases.

Meanwhile, for succession, you will be able to just copy the Corporate Command files from someone who has them (there is no DRM).

Being a Mac user, I might be able to help you out a bit. If you don't count Audio, gameplay for Transcendence in Wine is quite nice. If you want to try using http://res.mostlynothing.info/TranscendenceMac1.2b2.zip

That is a single bundled version of Wine + Transcendence + any libraries needed. Its about 200mb compressed, 600mb decompressed sadly. It runs as a standard Mac .app file.

However sound works, and you should have no issues with it.

I tried running Trans on Wine before, but most improbably it's even slower than running on VM. Almost to the state of unplayable. Also, I've tried logging in at my school, and it worked. It seems to be proxy problems as George said. I'll see what can I do about it...

EDIT: Checked it and found out that I am not currently using any proxies. But the problem might be something along this line.

Very oddly, I couldn't register an multiverse account with my name, but I could sign in using my forum name and password, so try that, PM. It is possible Geroge has migrated all forum accounts to the Multiverse.

Multiverse does not accept names with only two letters. I needed a longer name.

To get Corporate Command, please follow these steps:

1. Download Beta 3 (if you haven't already)
2. Go to the Multiverse and sign in. Go to this page: http://multiverse.kronosaur.com/transEn ... &release=1
3. Click on "Add to Collection"
4. Run the game and sign in.

If you have problems, please let me know.

One last note: When creating a game for succession, make sure you start in Debug Mode to create an unregistered game (otherwise you won't be able to share a registered across players).
