Here is the Chasm in action that bringing Fear into the hearts of Pilots without an Upgraded shield: somehow it just seems different : maybe its the scale.

I was trying to use the Iocrym control to get battles going for my two opposing forces: but #fail as usual:
Instead of getting the Iocrym pattern of ships going after the Attributes of the opposite force: I got THIS Mess!!!!!
I either destroy everything in the system or it just dies on me: I am going to try other routes of putting the opposing ships into the systems where they can fight ( and hopefully leave something for the player )
BTW: those " escorts" to the Cruisers are actually Raiders : the Cruisers are "Carriers" using the Pirate Frigate Raider's tables ( I use it alot to convert ships I want to be Carriers)

I think I worked out what I was in a past life...

This was the result of finding a trashed black market station. In the same system, I also found three downed Ferian stations, a destroyed CSC, and a adventure outfitters. As you might be able to see from my credit reading, I looted and sold the lot

I was having trouble with my Nerf Tactics: my original numbers were slowing the game: THEN the missile Launchers were a problem for the AI when there were too much action...
But I got that done :
Then I had a " Big Battle Scene" where the Invincible StKats Arcology takes a hit for the Home Team !!
( depending on speed and creation points of ships the CommonWealth Carrier might arrive in time to make it a bigger battle ) but setting it up was not easy because I had to set the patrol to run at a distance where 1, they do not create together and battle ; 2, the patrol HAD to be set to avoid the Charon script so the Charon system continues as normal, just with added ships in it.
( the settings for the stations were not the concern : it was the events of the Pirates I had to avoid while still being close enough in the next system to the Arcology, but without getting too close to it or the ComonWealth Carriers..took a few dozen tests just to get past Charon's events script )...
StKats Arcology is never going to be totally destroyed ( it is not planned but the command ships release fighters on attack so anything can happen when you have 70 fighters shooting stuff )....
the player SHOULD still have the encounters from the station available, just knowing that the station is NOT as safe as it wishes it was is just Gravy to the game ( thank Decker for that idea ). the patrols in orbit of StKats are not alone, but they will not touch Independent or Corporate stations ( so those are safe for the player to keep using as planned )
BEING AS I do not over-write : StKats has to fend for itself if the Star Carriers I sent to "protect" it does not show up ( it is orbiting the star just on the opposite side of the station of where the attack occurs , protecting the Arcology would just be a random battle ) .
++EDIT : last night the Arcology suffered a severe attack due to a random event ( up to 90% damage ): but several sections still did survive: I can not prevent every random event no matter how hard I tried++

I been working on a Jail but the only way I can make it work properly is to put the Jail inside the fence : but the criminals stay in their cells ( not the original plan, I wanted them out in the yard , but it IS easier on the cpu )
I released one on Bail: after a brief battle with an escapee.....( when I created the station the platform got trapped inside the fence : but I will think of a random escapee for the future )
