For the non linear system and multiple star gates your system26 apears to be the resident god. But as for the no way to change player ships that is a major draw back but you could always include in stations mission hire for money and hire a wingman like EVN now that wouldnt be so hard but the missions would have to be within the same system unless a memory system within system26 can keep track of the mission settings in one system while you complete the mission many systems away. Also then a Military misson could includ sweeping star systems for Ares raiding partys not just the system that you are in.
Also is their a way to keep track of an ingame date and time enabeling speed runs and timer equiped missions, not just having to chase down moving CSC's.

Yes, most of that is possible.
I suppose it's about time to release a play test version of the Sys26 mod- I had to remodel the house here, so I haven't actually had an office until just yesterday.
In my tests, however, I have taken full control of every system in a network, and assigned star types and environment filters, network links, primary sov controller, trade routes, roving fleets of pirates and more- I can play switcheroo with planet types and a other system structures without losing the orbits.
Last night I finished the ship customizing lab.. hehe.. it's a beaut, but the dang items won't list as known.. apparently the unknown layer for items extends to pulling item information into a custom list to display.. I was hoping to get around the unknowns... but alas, no luck there, and I can't find any methods to making items unknown again, pity... so no good making the items all known just to cheat a little.

That small text was not fun to read. The Item mods sound cool none the less. Using System26 could a universal hire a ship (similar to EVN) be established to allow players to make money outside of Killin's and Escorting and then it is always a hance to expand the mission posiblilities from just military and blackmarket ones. Plus the multi system tracking would move the game closer to EVN (the non linear game is just cool but now we need a web style mab showing us where we've been so I stop getting lost.
