Yeah, you can tell how much it bothers me by how fast I've been to fix it :DF50 wrote:I actually really like the red/blue inversion. Some of those ships should have a blue version. I really like the blue player freighter and the corporate buildings.

Defending the home turf:

The fonts have been cleaned up in this one, and you can see that the graphics are all rendering correctly and (alas) with the right colors. Game play seems fine, with all the usual elements intact.
Some people have asked for a few more details, so here's a quick (off the top of my head) rundown.
Things that aren't working yet:

Some people have asked for a few more details, so here's a quick (off the top of my head) rundown.
Things that aren't working yet:
- * Sound
* Save games
* Stargates (this is almost 100% due to save games not working)
* A few special characters (the extra long hyphen in item descriptions) that aren't mapped into the fonts I'm using.
* Performance -- granted, I am running this entirely within vmware with optimizations cranked way down (and it's /still/ very playable), but there's a couple of optimizations that need doing.
- * Integrating in up to the latest official release (the original branch was taken ages ago).
* Testing and bug identification.
* Porting it back to Windows, and trying it for the first time on OSX (anyone have an old powerbook they want to get rid of?)
Cheers,

Hi all,
Just dropped an Ubuntu on an old box and it works under Wine. Now I'm just waiting for the true Linux version. I said "old box", add "w/o proper GC drivers" and "under Wine", so Trans is running at around 1fps ^-^
