Nope; so long as you have enough autons, they will by default group around you in that position; I've experienced that before playing around with godmod.

Their order varies, sometimes they will group in front of you to your side or in general just in odd orders eventually making something pretty neat looking.

I just experimented to see how many autons it took to fill the whole pattern. Something like 1,500. Then I hit Shatter, and watched the fireworks. Excepts several survived. So I used the purple wave thing, and still some survived. So I used Shatter twice more, then the wave, then the shatter. And one survived

Except out of spite I killed it. No one survives my shatter. No one.

I believe that is related to the "bug" that shockwaves only deal so much damage to a single target, in that they will only deal so much damage to so many targets. I think its to reduce performance problems that (in extreme cases) could cause the game to crash (ie, like if you detonated a whole bunch of crate bombs in the same area)

This is why I ask for more CW presence in late game. Not even my modded ship could kill them.... Needless to say the CSC died and I was forced to flee to the nearest Ringer station.

The Privateer: Actually, it's 6 (look at the 1st page). I didn't take the competition thing seriously (if it was a competition, it should have at least been the thread title!). Question to any grammar specialists: am I supposed to have the period after the parenthesis, or have none, or have the period before the parenthesis?

You have it right -- [Parentheses][Period].
Eg, So some guy walks into a bar (a bit groggily) and orders a drink (for himself and a mate).

Now, in older books (1800's), Parentheses often formed sentances. Though a bit weird today, that looks like:

So some guy walks into a bar (a bit groggily because he'd had a few drinks the night before. He was a bit of a drunk truth be told) and then ordered a drink for himself and a mate.

Hope that clears things up for you! (but don't take that as gospel, though I think I've got it right).
