Here are a couple of spreadsheets I made to get a feel for how weapon damage types and manufacturers are distributed along levels in the core games. The manufacturer sheet isn't as pretty and I'm not sure how much I like the formatting in the conversion but I thought I should throw them out here before I forget abou them.

This looks quite good! 
It's a good place to instantly work out what weapons do what.
BTW this probably should have been in the Community section, but I don't think it will get moved.
