okay so i've been playing through the latest trans 1.08f and apart from the usual trying to install barrels when you buy them i havent came across any bugs so far (thumbs up to george)
heres my dilemme.. i gated into a system and got ambushed by those darn zenophobes and i got a glimpse of a worldship so i used my jumpdrive to get my butt away
mind you i was still using a +fast turbolaser and i had a +50% 25MW mammoth till this point of the game so i was the equivalent of a tiny fly to their worldships..
i went on to explore the rest of the system and i chanced upon a nice taikon ventures where they had my favorite big gun.. the IM90 multitarget blaster.. but at a price of 127500 rins i was thinking i should go farm some ferians and when i got to the other side of the map, i realized that the taikon ventures got demolished by the zenophobes :( so i thought i'll go nd help myself to the nice loot that got left behind.. as i was heading there i passed by three freighters and when i got to the ventures everything was gone so i quickly jumpe drive'd my ship back to where i saw the freighters and blasted one of them before the rest gated off into the sunset. glory for my troubles! i found the IM90 among some other loot in the wreck of the freighter..
feeling all happy with myself for doing something new in transcendence after 2-3 years of on-off playing i went to the nearest csc carrier and when i docked i got stripped of my military ID and got called a "criminal"
i went to a commonwealth fortress in another station and found out that i was charged for piracy, i pleaded 'not guilty' as i often do everyday and i got away with it due to not enough evidence.. my question now is.. will i ever get my military status back or do i have to go on the entire game depending on them black market stations that are already past their use and ringer shipyards?
i really want to have free refueling and armor repairs :D
is there any way to get my military id back?

i suggest you forget about your military id and weapon coz there is no way you are ever getting them back.anyway that what you get for hanging around with weak tech in a warzone world

Actually there is a low chance that you can find a military ID (or Unknown ID, which automatically becomes whatever type of ID it needs to be on the first use) in random loot.

Edit, admittedly, the ability to permanently lose one's original ID is... something of an issue, and there should probably be a way of being re-issued one.

Edit 2 - btw, I was referring a bit more generically (including things such as stashing it and having the stash blown up)

Hmmm, I didn't know that they stripped you of it ever, so, as it stands now my unreleased upgrade to implantable chips would prevent then from taking it away from you. Since loosing the mil id is almost a gamebreaker, I think I'll leave it that way for now.

Maybe if you lose your ID to more mundane circumstances (ie, its in a crate, and the crate gets blown up) you can get a new one for a tiny fee of say, 500Cr? - the military stations would still let you dock because you are registered in their database, but other stations (ie, CW colonies) would function more normally.

I agree with Atarlost if u dnt want to lose your milatary id or rank dnt be a pirate.i suggest u continue with your game coz u are going to find one in one of your loots

The chance of finding military id in loot is very low. Losing the one you get is enough of a setback that I would restart the game in most circumstances.

But in all my games i always have more than 4 military ID and i always carry one in my ship and the rest of my military id in my mule autons.i usualy get my first id in the Charon system as an unidentified id. :twisted: :twisted:

i actually had two military IDs when i docked with the csc. one i got as a reward from korolov shipping for destroying the charon bases in the charon system and the other one i got when i docked at a CW fortress and did the lane patrol around the gates.
i like the idea about the implantable IDs.
maybe if i had kept one ID in elysium along with all my other loot. :(
i suppose it'll be a whole new experience for me playing the bad guy (practices my evil laugh)
and usually i've finished the game without much use of the lamplighter.. apart from the insta spawn of phobii from the csc missions i might not actually stand to loose all that much.
methinks its time to finish of another vanilla permadeath

If you collect the ore for trade with Ringers : take the IM90 to the black Market for Install :
Otherwise : your going to have to load up on the biggest missiles you can get.

I once took on the ICS with a Tev9 and 500's : took FOREVER......but the bigger they are the harder they die : but everything dies.

the Ringers will often spawn a IM90 if the earliest Taikon looses theirs ( and you have not entered the systems past that point yet )
I found this out while playing many times : and trying different styles : if the Taikon have one : the Ringers most likely will not : if the Taikon are destroyed and you have not opened the systems after that point : the Ringers will spawn one in their Inventory.


the ONLY ships in the game that you DO NOT kill : because you will get arrested.
ships going to a station ( if they are heading to the gate they are fair game. except for the Corporate Cruiser and Freighters. )
ships docked at friendly stations :
freighters, the Corporate cruiser.
CSC and friendly Destroyers ( I have never seen the Destroyers outside of Defending / destroying Helios : but Mods and new testing version might have things I have yet to see )

Black Market cannot install the IM90 or any other device higher than level 9.

I thought u needed a military id to install any military tech even at the black market. :twisted: :twisted:

Nope. Its only restricted by raw tech level.
