Article in major publication

Not trying to advertise or anything, but I want to congratulate George on getting linked to in a major publication. The magazine that used to go by the name of "Computer Gaming World" is now known as "Games for Windows." Their annual article, "101 Free Games," contains various free games from around the 'Net and Transcendence was one of them.

You might like to know that the author, under the name of Freeloader, mentions that he would actually pay for the game.

I am in no way affiliated with GFW or Ziff Davis.

Very cool! Thanks for posting that--I didn't realize that Transcendence had been mentioned. I will have to pick up a copy. Thanks again and welcome to the forums.

The article has an in-game screenshot and a link to neurohack.com. I'm pretty sure it's this one.

It's the February '07 issue, if you're actually interested.

Multipplayer... maybe somebody is making a multiplayer version! Stealing george's creation! Though I highly doubt it.

Maybe they saw that thing on the UTF about swapping savefiles via email, and considered that multiplayer. I don't know, don't really care. As long as Transcendence gets some publicity!

Just came from UTF. I did not know this until today, and I did not even come see it in the forums yet. I followed a link at the VGCats rant, which led to the 1up games. I was browsing around and I found Transcendence. What a coincidence.
