I seem to have broken something or other in the kronosaurus encounter. I killed my three frigates as usual, went back to Korolov, sending the big bad ship after me, yadda yadda. Well, I'm using a class II shield right now, and the next system is Rigel Aurelius. So I dodge past the kronosaurus to see if there are better shields available there. There are, but I'd rather blow my cash on the Mark III howitzer that's there as well. So I hop back through. The Kronosaurus is waiting, but it doesn't fire. I shoot it up to about 50% damage, and it runs through the RA gate, never having fired on me.

I go back to korolov, which allows me to take a mission as if nothing had happened. I finish the mission, and get the kronosaurus encounter text again. Something's definitely wrong here. There is a new, full health Kronosaurus flying around after me, but korolov is still letting me take missions.

EDIT: Everything seems to be in order after killing it. No residual glitchiness.

You've allways been able to take missions while it's chasing you I think.

Nope. There's a special dockscreen for that circumstance, even.

Well, in that case that dockscreen's event that should be triggering it did not fire...
Did you have a targeting rom to confirm that it was indeed the kronosaurus?

Yes, I'm certain it was the Kronosaurus.

I should clarify that it fired at me just fine before I gated out and back in. But after I gated back in it was passive, and headed for the gate itself.
