In my current game I haven't found any patch spiders, so when I got desperate-escaped from a phobos with a 0HP plate of armor that I really didn't want to replace, I went looking for some barrels or patches. I had to backtrack all the way to 70 Ophiuchi, the system after St. K's, to find any at all.

So, are patch spiders intended to completely replace armor repair items? I'd rather they weren't, they use power and are hard to find. And it's not feasible to carry armor repair items with you for the entire game that you bought in Rigel or wherever, especially if you're not in the freighter. Instead, I'd like to see corporate TPs, Thor's, Adventurer's, etc. stock new higher level armor patches and repair barrels.

It would make more sense to remove the limit from armor repair at higher level stations, possibly charging a premium for fixing critically damaged armor to signify that the station had to slap on high grade nano-paste to reconstruct the armor.

IIRC, the heretic stations don't have a limit.

Ringers repair all damage IIRC.
My first mod, mostly done, still balance testing.

But I'd imagine CSC's shouldn't have a limit either...

The Commonwealth sucks. >.>

Admittedly it'd be nice if they would. I do agree though, I would indeed like to see some awesome armor patches down the line.

I'm surprized the ares havn't system-hopped all the way to st.k's and blow it all to dust!

TX2's CW is a whole lot better and smarter than vanilla CW (well, all the factions except the tiny little nuisance ones get a couple extra braincells)...
