Bug: The destruction of the Xenophobe Ark in Heretic makes the mission impossible to complete, and freezes any other stations from giving the player a mission, making the game un-winnable.
I was using a cheat mod-howitzer with WMD7 to make strafing runs on the ark, so maybe it is a hard wreck to kill in vanilla Transcendence, but it could be possible to destroy the wreck while fighting all the escort ships.
Possible Solutions: Either make the destruction of the wreck (or the destruction of the Iocrym artifact) trigger a mission failure, or make the ark wreckage indestructable.

Of course theres a limit to what can be done, if the player is sufficiently bloodyminded about wrecking their game:
Consider:
(1) Take the Iocrym Artifact to Elysium.
(2) Systematically destroy every jump-drive, gem of despair, and any way of producing them.
(3) Artifact is not 'destroyed', just 'gone'
Of course, having some safeguards against simpler mishaps might be good

Oh, btw, I think your game is not 'unwinnable', just 'really sodding hard': You can win even if all the bases in the system are destroyed, so having the missions unavailable shouldn't be game over. (And if you're lucky, you might even have someone destroy the right base first, which then should make the other missions available again)
