Minor glitches (0.98d)

If these things need correction or not I don't know but reporting anyway.

1. At Ringer's collective/shipyard, the message "This item is not for sale." somehow doesn't appear for worthless items, instead "You do not have enough rin to purchase any." does.

2. If you donate an unidentified cash card at Sisters of Domina, you can't gain their respect, even if you "know" it's a cash card.

3. Even if you angered a friendly station, the ships staying there may still be friendly (gives you "Nice shooting!" message).

4. Target an auton and command it to attack target (itself), and it goes straight rightward forever (unless you cancel the command or use a stargate).

5. A weapon that has fragmentTarget= "true" or <fragment multiTarget= "true"> (i.e. TM7 multitarget cannon) - the fragment does not target enemy stations (though this feature can be useful).

6. Domina's "Defend" and "Avenge": yet to be implemented :?

And there are many major exploits but most of them are known so I don't list them here :)

Oh goodness, I'd forgotten about this one. This has been around forever.

Let's keep this one, please? It amuses me to no end. And after all, having a piece of software lock up due to an invalid command is pretty realistic.

That's a really good point--but I think the auton should do something a little more interesting:

1. AutoSentinels go around in circles, firing randomly
2. 300D autons go into safe mode (they stop moving or firing until rebooted).
3. 1M military autons short-circuit and are stunned for a while; then they explode like a mine (with shrapnel)

quite interesting...

Oh, and I remembered another thing now.

We know salvagers can use their loot, but I think I've seen a salvager equipped with Solon shield and that stupid one could not fire its own weapon, making itself totally helpless. (and I think they can't fire even when the shields are down)
And sometimes they switch to an omni-laser from their own turbo-laser - I don't really understand why they want to be weaker :?

The autons should either shut down or just open fire.

I really, really like the options George has up there. That sounds extremely entertaining.

I like no 3. It's one of those "turn a bad situation into something potentially useful" things, where a skilled player, may, by deliberately doing something that in ordinary situations would cause them harm, do something useful. The explosion would have to be fairly decent though to make it worth it (and also have the hilarious possible consequence of killing the player).

'Hilarious possible consequence' is a highly amusing phrase.

But yeah, being able to park an auton on top of a station and order it to blow up would be pretty awesome.

This also makes me want smart mines, though. :P

Another couple of glitches in 0.98d (not about auton)
Dvalin of Rasiermesser seems to happily accept limitless number of "NotForSale" items of the same kind.

And I see "selling NotForSale stuffs at a shop causes weird response" reported here is not fixed.
http://www.neurohack.com/transcendence/ ... .php?t=848

And, this probably is a major bug but cannot find the cause: Transcendence sometimes (rarely, but still) crashes when I use a stargate (without an error message from Transcendence and a message by Windows OS appears instead - logged as "Exception number:c0000005 (access violation)" in drwtsn32.log )
It usually happens in Dwarg space (Multiple colonies and fortresses) but nothing is sure.
