I was doing a bunch of korolov missions and I was promoted from a master to a journeyman, I was repromoted to a master the next mission, getting the reward for becoming a master again!

I'm using .99a btw

I've had something similar; where I was a Journeyman, killed 3 frig's and then the boss frig, docked and got swarm-praised and Volkov. My stats then said I was a legend. After leaving that screen I got the "good job, here's your pay" screen and then got a promotion to Master.

Checked my stats again and yep, sure enough I was just a Master. (As I should be)

I think the frigates are being triggered way too early. What about setting them so that they'll only appear after the player becomes a Master?

Or maybe so you only get two of them before becoming a master. I feel like the Korolov difficulty ramps up pretty fast. You start off with a few light ships, and quickly start encountering large waves of slightly heavier ships along with a frigate.

Another issue: If you are promoted from Journeyman to Legend (which isn't hard to do), you don't get the reward for becoming a Master.
