Mining without miner's hold bug

I find that if I attempt to "bring aboard" ore without a miner's hold, I get a warning that I will only get some of the ore, and when I hit continue, I get another dialog screen in which the text is "unable to find item in list ### (objremoveitem gsource theitem) ###

This dialog screen has options Continue and leave. Continue does nothing, leave causes you to move on with having gotten any of the ore.

It's a known bug. Check this buried topic
