Just asked a tinker to convert 7 damaged turbo-lasers into a Dual Turbolaser.

The tinker took the damaged goods, displayed the dialog saying he'd just given me the Dual Turbolaser and the game crashed.

hmmm... could be the same as when I tried to loot various items. I guess this crash occurs when something is added to your cargo hold... But it seems to occur almost at random! the only correlation i see is that it's all early-game systems

hm, I didn't like to post it here, but as you start to go off the topic I can also tell that I experienced some crashes.

One time I had an unknown ROM (cash card) and a Korolov Cargo crate that suddenly had a blue +Unknown, like +Military, on it. I was emptieing my cargohold by holding Enter, then it crashed.
Also crashed while I had these items in my hold and looted 7 damaged laser cannons and 3 damaged def I ...

No I think it's relevant. It could very well be related to the same bug.

I agree with Wolfy--I think all these crashes are related. I believe I fixed the problem in 0.99b (though I suspect some save files created with 0.99 or 0.99a will still have some problems).
