[1.0RC1] Morning star cannon shoots through arena wall

Some of the shots from the morning star cannon go right through the arena wall. This is probably because the arena wall is thin and the morning star cannon's projectiles are small and move quickly, so they "jump over" the wall. This only occurs on the dark gray walls between the green things, not the green things themselves.
BTW, I think the dark gray walls are a little too dark: they don't show up very well on my LCD monitor.
[Edit] This only occurs when you are moving towards the wall.

Though yes, it's a bug that needs to get fixed still.

It's always done this actually.
It's much more important now that there are friendly stations outside the arena.

Ah, ok. (I actually havn't gotten to the arena yet. I'm chewing through each system at a painstakingly slow rate to squeeze out every last bug I can find... especially typos... better to weed them all out ASAP before the main release, otherwise they might go for some time through the RC's and escape into the final version)

The "fix," I think is to make the arena barriers thicker--that will prevent this kind of "quantum tunneling"

I experienced the same problem while building the BattleZone mod and arrived at the same conclusion. Unfortunately this was after having placed all barriers >.<
At some points it was even possible for fast ships, or ships that tried hard enough to "wiggle" their way through a barrier. Very odd...

Be careful fixing this. For some modded ships wiggling through is the only way to get through the gates for some reason I'm unable to determine. I've had this problem with a ship smaller than the largest default playership.

fly the ship over the sun and check for any extraneous black pixels off of the ship, they could hit the walls.

the masks were bitmaps, with pure black and pure white only used (no AA)
