Transcendence

If you visit the last Nav Beacon multiple times in Heretic, you can spawn repeated Huygens explorers. Not sure why exactly you would want to at this point in the game, as farming them would be pointless, but it can be done.

The Hyper Viper

This is important because *each* Huygens contains a heretic research rom. Each research rom is worth a "research point" when taken to Kate. You need three "research points" to shut down the shield. You do not even need to keep the ringers station alive to be able to redeem the roms for research points.

Essentially, after taking the Huygens mission, you needn't complete any other missions, or save any stations from destruction.
