bug with Kate Morgental Cruiser

in rc7 if Kate Morgentals Cruiser gets destroyed (by the player or bm)
you can still complet the mission and fight the slicer
this might be a bug i dont know if it is or not just thougt i should tell you

I think that was intentional. [so that the mission was still completable.]

I would destroy Kate's cruiser every time, if I had a dual particle beam.

The money you get from selling the armour, missles, and launcher (assuming it doesn't get damaged) is incredible that early in the game.

I think her cruiser should be toughened up...

does she not attack back if you attack her? at that stage of the game, a corporate cruiser would surely kill the player at the arena level.

I reported this to George a couple of weeks back via email. You are able to attack the cruiser without it retaliating, complete the arena successfully then meet up with Kate in Heretic without her remembering that you killed her! Of course it's very difficult to kill the cruiser before it escapes through the gate, unless it gets stuck constantly bumping into the wall, which has also happened (and has been reported by someone else).
Don't know if it's been fixed in RC8 - just downloading it now.

Maybe she's insured and in Heretic you meet her clone? I can't understand why she wouldn't be angry though...

Or maybe there was some epic fridge logic and somehow she miraculously survives once again... (when everyone on ships that arn't commanded by her always die with their ships...)

Well, to be fair, some people DO have more than their fair share of miraculous escapes....

Or maybe she's just wealthy enough to have insurance?
