[Closed] [Bug] docking problem

I found a rather horrible bug: every few games I play, the game seems normal for the first few systems, then I try to dock, and nothing happens. I get the message 'docking sequence engaged', I get near the station, and the message goes away. It is like I am docking, but I don't go to the dock screen. I can then fly around all I want, then hit 'D' and I get 'Docking sequence canceled'. Quite a horrible bug, because I am playing a good game, then the game is ruined because even when I self destruct, the game still won't let me dock. Even going back it won't let me dock.

So I'm not the only person who has had this bug then...

Seriously? This is wacky, I've never heard of this before. I'd recommend Darko, that you post this on the Trac.
So this bug occurs even when there are empty docking spaces?

Is this a 1.04 bug? If so, it is probably part of the new DS changes. Does it happen when you would normally reach a contaminated/confiscation or similar screen?

Yes.

Also, it just happens randomly. Last time, it happened when I docked with a Corporate Enclave in Rigel. I was not contaminated, and they don't confiscate, so I think it's just random.

Can you post this bug on trac?

Maybe; I have an account but I can't make heads or tails of Trac. I have tried posting this, but I can't figure out how...

Presumably your account has not been activated... drop by irc and we can get Gambit to help you out

After I signed up for Trac I was redirected to a screen which said my account was activated. I got a logout button so I think my account was activated. I may be wrong, though.

EDIT: I also thought it wasn't in use because the site hasn't been edited in 2 years, and the last ticket was over 6 months ago...

I just tried logging on actually and the screen said: "Site locked" and information telling me to contact the administrator. Also, it had a button saying create a ticket, but my web filter on my network shut me out.

Just login and go to http://wiki.neurohack.com/transcendence/trac/newticket

Drako, your account has not been activated (even though it says so). Come to irc and we will get Gambit to activate it.

There are definitely tickets on the trac that are newer than 6 months. The last one posted was a couple of weeks ago, during the forum blackouts.

really? ok. I don't really like IRC though. The forums are simpler, and don't require downloads and plugins. My last cpu was destroyed by viruses, so I'm loathe to download anything.

Umm, ok...

A couple of things. I am not asking you to come and stay on IRC, just to drop by so we could get your account activated. It is just a tad bit easier that way. Feel free to post the username you created the account with on trac though, and i will see if i can rouse Gambit. Secondly, you don't need to install anything. Just use the irc webclient provided by freenode. There is a link to it in the Community Links thread.

I do occasionally, but it says you can only read what other people write.
