So, I was trying to do missions with the CSCs before Point Juno, ya know, and I got the basic mission to escort a super freighter from a stargate to the carrier.

Well, the mission was easy, oddly so - my freighter wasn't attacked once. Until I got back, that is. The centurions surrounding the CSC immediately attacked and destroyed the freighter. Bizzare.

Notes that may or may not matter: I had 2 dwarg behemoth friends following me. It was immediately after getting the Ares Campaign ribbon. The freighter came from the Point Juno stargate.

OH, right I was playing 1.04. But since 1.05 dealt mostly with modding (am I correct there?) I would think whatever caused this wouldn't have changed.

Not a bug. If you were paying attention to the messages popping up, you would have noticed one declaring the super freighter a suicide bomber. Now, that the CSC took it out without your help is something of a bug. That makes it rather hard to fail the mission.

Sometimes messages don't pop up when they are supposed to, and get stuck in the queue until you get another, different one.

I suppose this must be what happened, there was no message.

Although, when I docked with the station, I was scolded for my failure. So it exploded then, I suppose?

If it reaches the CSC, and is on a suicide run, it will detonate within 5ls. This is part of the scripting. - Not a bug.
