Tinkers Don't Care (v.0.97a bug or oversight?)

My ship got contaminated and the closest station was a Tinker. Since I've never tried to dock at a Tinkers station while being contaminated, I was curious if they'd let me dock or decon my ship first.
Turns out they let me dock, do business and be on my way. My ship was still contaminated after undocking.
Me thinks the Tinkers should either have the; "Hey! Get that contaminated ship off my dock!" or, have the ability to decon. Preferrably the latter--since they are tinkers after all.
Haven't tested any other independents...yet.

Tinkers are a safety net for the contaminated. Worst case, if you don't have the 250 CR to get a decon, you can always try to sell enough to the tinkers to be able to afford it.

no-one "operates" stargates (atleast actually from within the structure itself) If you read... something somewhere, can't remember what, it says its activated be a certain signal from the ship.

Then this must have been intentional. But still, in a virtual reality, I can't see any station manager allowing a contaminated ship to dock and do business.

On a side-note, shouldn't wrecks become contaminated if your ship is when you dock with them?

I doubt they notice. I can't imagine that damaged reactors and drives are releasing anything much more friendly.

Plus, they're aliens! Aliens who manipulate damaged reactors...though it is a good idea...

The only alien in Transcendence is the Iocrym. Everyone else is human.

Not sure about that when it comes to Ringers and Teratons...they use rins and also use weapons not common to the norm human availability (Also unknown items are stated as unknown alien). Unless they're both either highly advanced and/or mutated humans.
Part of the Teraton dialogue describes them as; "From a distance the Teratons look like abnormally tall humans, but up close you notice their deformities and mutations."
So I suppose they could be humans but I've always had the impression that they were some freaky aliens.

I guess there were changes?
Maybe there are some other aliens now.

I was talking in an in-game sense. All the factions in the game derive from human stock, though what they have become can hardly be called human. Generally, this is referred to as a Post-human or transhuman society.

Come to think of it, that does put a few things into perspective, especially with the Teratons and their strong desire to run experiments on "normal" humans...Perhaps they're trying to make all humans the same as them? Ooooh, Scary!
