Textual Error

OK, let's make this thread one for noting textual errors- misspellings, grammatical mistakes, formatting problems- in user-visible text in Transcendence. George is a good copy editor, but I've noticed one that slipped through:

When you go to a Domina station and contemplate in the sanctum, the text where you are "rewarded" with Domina powers has a few stray /n XML tags (?) visible in the middle of the body of the text.

Anyone else seen anything of this sort?

Oh yeah- this might be a mistake too; correct me if I'm overlooking something:

Recoilless cannons, DK10s, etc. all have the type description "impact", but armors that are resistant to them are listed as being resistant to "kinetic" weapons. I know that those basically mean the same thing, but it's kind of confusing.

Thanks!

I knew about the problem with the Sisters (fixed in 0.98) but I didn't know about the "impact" vs. "kinetic" bug. I've fixed that too (called "kinetic" everywhere).

Here are several more typos that I've fixed in 0.98 (so people don't bother reporting them):

Fixed typo: "This a heavier..." -> "This is a heavier..." [Thanks to FAD]
Fixed typo: "Very little is know..." -> "Very little is known..." [Thanks to FAD]
Fixed typo: "...heavy metals slug..." -> "...heavy metal slug..." [Thanks to FAD]
Fixed typo: "wristwatched" -> "wristwatches" [Thanks to FAD]
Fixed typo: "damage you display" -> "damage your display" [Thanks to darksider]
Fixed typo: "general Verner" -> "General Verner" [Thanks to Icabod458]
Fixed typo: "you in the docking bay" -> "you are in the docking bay"
Fixed typo: "there no missions..." -> "there are no missions..."
Fixed typo: "one of the weakest material" -> "one of the weakest materials"

Ok then, another "textual error" - the description on the "alien hyperglyph rod" is too long to fit in the pane.

Yeah, that's not really a textual error, more like a bug.
George, maybe a line of code that expands the item box to fit the description in?

And one more thing...
In the description on the mule auton
'This auton has space for 75 tons of cargo.'
but currently its actual capacity is 87t.

Talking about the mule auton, wouldn't it be nice if the game showed the available space in both the auton and your ship on the screen when you dock with it? It does get a little confusing....

Yet another;
when you see "booby-trapped ammunition boxes" or something similar at the Ringers collective, the inadequate message "You do not have enough rins to purchase any." shows up, instead of "This item is not for sale."

That isn't really a bug. You can't buy it.

Next one could be tricky, and very minor, but anyway;

'Please accept these kilos of natural periweed '
I think this is not grammatically wrong but it doesn't feel right.

What is the periweed by the way?

I dunno what periweed is but it sure sounds like pipeweed. So, I'll assume the usage is the same.

I believe that the "kilos" is incorrect. I think it needs to state how many kilos you gain - if it's a random amount. then something like "Please accept these many/few/5 kilos of Periweed" would work better.

It sounds incorrect but I just can't figure out what rule is being violated here.

It sounds better not to use the word kilos at all and simply say "Please accept these crates of periweed"

Yugi, since you seem to be an expert on English, can you tell us why exactly is "accept these kilos of periweed correct" incorrect?

Grammatically, there is nothing wrong with the sentence (at first glance, at least). However, those particular words make the sentence look very artificial, and as such it would probably be best to rephrase it. Of course, that might be easier said than done, since (correct me if I'm wrong) it's probably one of those programmed responses, i.e. "Please accept [x] kilos of [y]" or something like that.
