Well, it /is/ a battlecarrier, so... yeah. The Coalition's battlecarrier is really just taking the design of an escort carrier and throwing on armor and guns. Not that they are using an escort carrier as a base; it's an all-new design created by the Coalition.
Also; a Coalition outpost:

Hmm, it's spiky!
Your battlecarrier gives me an interesting idea.....I think I'll do a few experiments at some point after I've done all my munitions stuff.
Ok, I got the empire's battleship redone (with proper shadows); it's on my other computer, so I won't have a picture up until the afternoon.
Also, some of TX2's resources will be being put into various official extensions, such as the possible plans for some of the luminous ships here appearing in our Sandbox adventure extension, as well as possibly TX2 ships for other factions, to help round them out.
The Ranx official extension will likely incorporate some of TX2's ranx content as well.

TX2 is now officially on hold while I begin checking plot points with george to avoid running into conflicts of canon vs. fanon.
Or rather, while I wait for him to confirm I can begin running plot points by him.
Until then, TX2 is on indefinite hold, aside from creating new devices & items & other trivial, non-plot-related stuff.

Ranx will be updated as per the new official extension which George & I are designing more or less jointly.
I'll likely be expanding their range, territory and influence in TX2, and likely completely reballancing their weapons & devices & armor, just as pretty much near everything requires rebalancing for the new gameplay mechanics.

Some more factions that will be appearing; the Gaurdians (enemy), the Kaidan (friendly), the Ansabi (friendly), the Ellrohn (enemy), the Domain (enemy).
I already some (most) of the Ansabi's ships completed, because I decided to give them graphical assets from another faction I had cancelled for TX2. they do however need some serious-re-texturing & a little tune-up.
I also have some the the Gaurdian's stuff done.
The Domain's stuff is really easy to do.
I have some basic models I can repurpose to the Kaidan.
The Ellrohn are a minor faction and have only two ships and a station. All of which are not very big nor hard to do.
I will be making some following posts to introduce them. (likely this afternoon, 5 hrs from now)

Gamplay Info:
Major Power
Use kinetic, blast, thermo weapons
Mostly mining & ship-production
Native Corporations: General Weapons (contracted for mid-range weapons, generally blast, a few light thermo too), Government-owned facilities produce heavy military equipment.
Friendly neighbors: CW, Ansabi, Hauri (they are neutral to the hauri, helping them will make you neutral to the Hauri, but you will have to befriend them to actually gain access to that story-line)
Primary Enemy: Gaurdians
Enemies: Ares, Sung, most enemies of CW (not including those they have minimal/no contact with, those being Urak, Ranx, Heliotropes, Solarites, Kobol)
Supply: Blast weapons, thermo weapons, ores
Demand: Foods, higher technology devices (shipyards & factories also buy ore, though not terribly high, as their own ore production floods the market there)
The Kaidan were one of the early states that formed during the expansion period, and always have been miners. They are not as advanced as the other major powers, being the least advanced among the Ansabi, CW, and Coalition. Their largest weapons are thermo weapons, and share a similar technology distribution to the CW, just without project Lamplighter, heavy NAMI and all that high-end stuff. They also are one of the most populous, matching, if not surpassing, the commonwealth in raw population.
They focus on 'bigger with moar gunz' design philosophy, sticking as many of their inferior weapons onto as big of an armored chassis as posssible. Their shielding technology is poor, and prefer to use structural integrety fields instead. (Like the trenton, but they have lazarus-esq regen proprotionally, and more bleed-through).
They became allies of the CW during the syrtian war, when the CW was in need, and they sent some of their ships to help. While not very fancy or high-tech, they were big, and they were numerous. They earned enough respect from the commonwealth to get aide in designing some thermo weapons, as well as better blast weapons.
By the game's events, they are close trading partners, and the Kaidan do perform some joint military operations with the Commonwealth, though these efforts are hampered by the high logistical costs the Kaidan ships incur, being very fuel-hungry as their primitive reactor technology cannot handle more advanced fuels.
Kaidan/CW joint-task forces are rarely sent against any enemies other than the Sung and Ares for this reason, given the long traveling distances to anywhere else from Kaidan space.
The Kaidan are also enemies of the Gaurdians (info on them in the next post).
