Talked with George this week, and he was now able to reproduce the bug, so hopefully there will be a resolution sooner rather than later..

Ok, incoming feedback!
I tried the Goanna Pocket/Picket frigate, and it is OP! The problem is that there is little fuel.
There were no Helium Assemblies or Pteracium rods in the area. It just would be better to add more so that you can last the haul.
The Cobra's starter weapon is tricky. One shot, and reactor overload. The Asp Torpedo-Bomber does not have anything to refuel, or any weapons. The Freedom-class Frigate is the best I played so far. The Reactor and weapons can be iffy, but they can be dealt with.
Also, some of the old ships like the Kineticore look good. And the new Autons, the new St.Kats, etc. It is just mindblowing. Note: I just checked the forums for the new St.Kats, Autons, Charon, etc.

This might be pointless, but I think that the Wolf-Class gunship should be a Monitor.
This is because of the fact that it is based around guns. Heavy gunships don't mount such weapons.
And that it is small, but can pack more firepower than the Minotaur/M.
Also, I am going to make a Fanfic for The Stars Beyond.

The unable to load game message sounds like savegame corruption. You might need to submit the debug log information to george.
A lot of legacy ships are going to be getting reclassed, but work on TSB has been paused in order to make some changes to the core game that are needed to be able to sensibly implement the TSB-side changes.
All of the overpowered VSS "Starter" ships are not actually meant to be starters, they are just there for testing purposes - catching the reactor overload edge case is good though.
How did you get a kineticore in this version? Thats an ancient ship. Also the 'new St.K's' was removed from TSB since george implemented increasingly improved versions based on it into the core game.

About the Save file issue, I think I will ask George. Even though I am in a coding club, can you please elaborate what is the Debug Log?

The CHOC and the Corporate Conglomerate dislike eachother since there was a huge scandal. CHOC/CC was interested in Canis industries and launched a massive attempt at Industrial Espionage.
It did not end well.
Canis Indus found out and the other (possibly paranoid) corporations in the Frontier, so Viper, Nakura, and UWA declared war against CHOC/CC. This is when the Osaka was built. Eventually it ended up in a stalemate, since I can imagine an Eir/Corporate Cruiser stalemating with a Theta-class Cruiser from UWA. Canis then got in contact with the Shadows of Charon and provided them with weapons and sent them on High-risk-high-reward raids in Ares Space and reverse-engineered it.
Also, about the Kineticore... let me amend what I think:

Kineticore: While its possible a fully remastered version or ship based on it might end up in an extension someday, the original versions aren't coming back because they don't meet our modern graphical standards.
StKats: Are you talking about the ancient TX2/pre-official TSB version of StKats? Ignore that, its been completely replaced by the current version of StKats in vanilla. Also the Ares are too far away to practically launch a raid on StKats

Where did you even find a working download for such an old version? I thought all of those were defunct.

Hey, with the TSB lore, we could technically do it right now.
TSB has been paused with technical issues.
Maybe it would be a good idea to take advantage of that time to put down some lore.
Examples: Illestab Rebels, Shards, weird hycrotan-ish guys...
Just a suggestion.

Fix annoying dependencies/limitations in the base game:
* Clean up the horrific mess of base game UNID entity names that cause name collisions because of a lack of namespacing
* Finish up engine-level projectile improvements (mainly bugs recently caught by some modders on discord)
* * Add new weapons and ammo making use of this & the previous wave of projectile improvements from January
* Add mining blast weapon for base game
* Support adventure-defined player character customization:
* * This means making UI changes, hooray! (/S MASSIVE SARCASM)
* * Player Class (ex Pilgrim, CDM Mercenary, etc) needs to NOT be tied to starting ship - when you do the math, if you want to have M player classes to pick from, and N player ships, you suddenly end up with an accursed permutation grid of M * N different xml types
* * Support more "genomes" (including inorganic lifeforms like uploaded persons, various lineages of AIs, etc) & all the language conversion for them
* * Separate out pronoun & gendered language translation from genomes because once again you end up the accursed permutation explosion of xml types
* Support adventure-defined difficulty
* Fix all the base game stuff that operates on the assumption that the player is the pilgrim and move that to the SotP Adventure module
* Soon to be announced thing for the base game (!!!???) <-- having this is a prerequisite to being able to continue TSB's development (Also, this thing will slowly(?) introduce more lore for base game factions)
Only then can development on TSB resume.
This list shouldn't really change though, unless some other unforseen limitation is run into

Is it ok to put Centauri Light Raiders in the 'Battlepod' section? Just wondering.
Also, found the old 'Charon Frigate trying to pinch itself in the face' bug, but with Halon Pirates Destroyers. They fire their Mini-Medusas at me, but then the warhead bursts, and the missiles are making 'figure eight' smokemarks, because it seems that the missiles are not programmed to blow up on themselves/their launchers/halon vessels. I will try to get an image. Just letting you know. Cause its funny.

As in, put the Centauri Light Raider, the one with the minigun, as a battlepod.
Don't underestimate the Halon Pirates. They have Military Tech.
