Not entirely new, but might as well be: modpack added, which enables ALL stock ships playable, 141 total. It's up on Xelerus, tested (relatively) under RC4.

This mod adds 141 new playable ships to the game. It makes all the stock ships (as of 1.0RC4) playable. Place it in the \extensions\ directory inside your Transcendence installation. It does not overwrite any vanilla Transcendence ships and should work with almost any other mods.

This was inspired by The Ship Guy's AllShips v1.4 mod. My version retains all possible original equipment and stats, where his set them up with basic starting equipment only. I have not tried to balance these ships for a standard Eridani-starting game. Some will be underpowered "challenge" ships while some will be nearly god-ships, at least for the early systems.

The only ships excluded are ones with duplicate entries elsewhere: eg., Corporate Cruiser is included but Kate Morgenthal's Corporate Cruiser is not, as the stats are identical. Ships with cargo space <10 had it increased to 10. Ships with more power-hungry weapons had appropriate reactors added. All these ships use stock shield HUDs, and many re-use the stock armod HUDs (see below). They all have 20 facings, except those based on the Wolfen, Sapphire, and EI500. Larger ships with fixed-arc weapons have had some weapon edits to make them playable by humans.

Larger ships have working armor displays for 6, 8, 12, 15, 24, and 36-segment armor. At 15+ segments the armor descriptions overlap and it can look messy, but it works and HPs display correctly. Displays for 6-36 segments are based on an idea from FAD.

Included are six files. You can use one, several, or all of them at once. They are:

Vol1 - Small ships. Includes ships with 4-segment armor or less. Does not include Arena ships.
Vol2 - Arena ships. Includes all variants from the Battle Arena. These have randomized weapons. Most come in several strengths, from G1 for starters to G6 for elite versions.
Vol3 - Capital ships. Includes ships with armor from 6-12 segments.
Vol4 - Super Capital ships. Includes ships with armor from 15-24 segments.
Vol5 - Mega ships. Includes ships with 36-segment armor.
Vol6 - Autons. Includes all autons; I added cargo space to make them playable.

To do:

- add a generic armor HUD
- add 40-facing graphics where possible

2010-01-01 Initial version. 60 ships.
2010-01-06 Second version. All stock ships playable (141 as of 1.0RC4). Corrected a few bugs from 2010-01-01.

Re-uploaded this mod on Xelerus. It now makes every stock ship playable, 141 total! Polar freighters, Mule Autons, Deimos Destroyers, The Slicer's Manticore, you name it.

History:
2010-01-01 Initial version. 60 ships.
2010-01-06 Second version. All stock ships playable (141 as of 1.0RC4). Corrected a few bugs from 2010-01-01.
2010-01-08 Bugfix version. I had uploaded a version I ZIPped before the playtesting corrections. Sorry!
2010-02-09 Added Volume 7, up to 152 playable ships. Made some small corrections in other files. Current through 1.0RC6.
2011-06-06 Added four missing ships, total now at 156 playable ships. Made a number of adjustments and corrections. Folded Vol.7 ships into vol. 1-6. Current through Transcendence 1.05.
