Commonwealth Police
This mod aims to greatly improve the Commonwealth justice system and make it seem like the Commonwealth actually tries to enforce the law rather than just sitting there and waiting for the player to accidentally surrender.
Features
  • Every major Commonwealth station will now have a police captain patrolling it.
  • Every police captain has some officers following it. The captain orders these officers to attack enemies, clear shipwrecks, and confiscate abandoned cargo crates. If necessary, the captain can go to the nearest stargate and wait for officer reinforcements.
  • If you are charged with a crime, a CWP captain may surround you and order you to surrender.
  • If you try to fight the CWP, you will be charged with "resisting arrest."
  • There is now a new crime severity level for minor offenses such as friendly fire negligence.
  • Intentionally attacking a Commonwealth station will now get you charged with "open hostility" towards that station.
  • Intentionally destroying a friendly NPC will get you charged with "piracy" if it was a freighter and "violence" in all other cases.
  • Commonwealth justice now tracks all ships rather than only the player.
  • Commonwealth trials will now address all of your known crimes instead of just the most severe one. Punishment severity is calculated by number of crimes and the severity of each.
  • Commonwealth stations will automatically blacklist you if you have any active known crimes. Disable your weapons and the stations will let you dock.
  • As you commits more major Commonwealth crimes, the CWP will send progressively stronger strike forces, all the way up to an Aquila with several Britannias. The deployment of a strike force is indicated when a captain calls for backup at a nearby stargate without getting new officers.
  • If you cannot pay a fine, the Commonwealth will force you to sell items from your cargo hold before they take your ship.

If anyone wants to get a complete experience of the Commonwealth Police mod in a short time, here are some instructions to follow closely.
  1. Start a new game
  2. Wait for a police patrol captain to arrive. One will likely appear as a Ronin gunship with an enhanced drive orbiting a major station such as Starton Eridani or a Dry Dock
  3. Spawn some items and drop them into an abandoned cargo crate next to a police captain
  4. Install the most powerful armor in the game
  5. Spawn an Earth slaver and watch the CWP fight it. Keep it near the stations and use autopilot if necessary.
  6. Spawn a Ranx dreadnought and watch the CWP fight it. Keep it near the stations and use autopilot if necessary
  7. Install a Rasiermesser launcher and create 100 Gotha-400 seekers
  8. Destroy exactly one gunship and one freighter with the missiles
  9. Jettison your missiles
  10. Spawn ten cases of Ringer ambrosia or anything else that you can sell to Starton Eridani for thousands of credits
  11. Dock with Starton Eridani
  12. Plead Not Guilty and read the two next panes
  13. Install the most powerful weapons in the game
  14. Wipe out all Commonwealth stations from the system
  15. If you are surrounded by the police, do not fight them. Simply refuse to disable your devices and wait.
  16. Fight the strike forces
  17. Go to the next system and surrender to the nearest Commonwealth station, Read every pane.
  18. On the Game Over screen, scroll down until you find a section with numerous entries

On most of the stations (lik habitats) when you go to "meeting hall" or whatever it is called - game freezes.
