Been working on this project for a while now. It's called the paper fleet because all the ships are 2d. The stations are dvlenks and full credit goes to him for their design (I just used them because they looked cool). This can be considered version 1. I'm currently working on version 2 where all the ships get more standardized shapes along with 7 new ships.
Note: These fleets appear late game, so it's probably better to use a debug ship (w/ transpace, lots of maps, etc.) to see them in action. The shields and armor are kind of generic and the weapons are primarily based on the ares layout. Balance wasn't really a priority for this, just wanted to show off the graphics. I have a 3d program for later rendering but it's a daunting task.. For now, it's gonna stay a paper fleet.

There is a lot of difference between the 3d and 2d, although you have done very well with your mod! I wonder of some manner of false shading could soften the graphic style differences, but otherwise: Great Work!

ha ! I found a bug: no pane found when you already have the hyperion !
The ships look realy scary and dangerours ... we shoud be glad that they are our friends ... although they don't defend themself when you shoot them. the fleet also does not get angry when you destroy their base :> (and you don't get busted for destroying it)

yeah, i didn't really make the code complicated, just copy-pasted from some other friendly code. i guess i could give them a sovereign like the commonwealth so they have all those attributes. i'll check the reactor screen on the advanced military. i just copy-pasted that from some other dockscren...
Well, I think I'm gonna stop making new ships now and start tweaking on making all the current ones into 3d. There are 29 ships in total. 10 small sized, 8 medium sized , 6 large sized , 4 huge sized and 1 super massive sized . I think they turned out alright. Here's a preview pic:

Version 2.5 is ready. All ships shown in the preview are now in game including the gigantic danu. It's the only ship with 72 armor segments. It took about 5 minutes of constant +150 IM90 to kill. I need help with formations. I tried to use the code from point juno etc when it comes to flying in formation but it's always a triangle and all they ever do is sit there guarding the base. Using the escort command has them fly at random locations and I wanted something more organized.. Any tips would be appreciated.
