I guess the best way to know what I'm trying to do is by showing an example:

haha, more pictures - if i use the point juno code i end up with this:

very cluttered and most of the ships become useless trying to shoot through each other.

Well.... after some more tweaks with using the sung slaver code and satellites, i've made a slightly better formation. Kind of where I was heading and if I kept chaining them together I'd eventually have a static formation that looks exactly how I want..

Notice how they now guard a non-descript un-named point now which is based on the sung defense wall. The one issue I have is that they show up on the radar screen and can be targetted as shown in the big picture. How do I make a marker that is completely removed from the display and is non-interactive?

hmm I think making scale= "world" would solve the targeting problem, (planets are not targetable)

MAJOR UPDATE.

I'm starting on the 3d renderings (slowly) of these ships. I got one done. A small one.

Image

Give it like.. another few months and there will be 28 more... seeing how long it took me to build this one small one (lasair is the smallest green ship in the fleet), maybe give it a year... lol hopefully transcendence is still around to play with them by then.
