1.06 and 2380.......I apologize if my .xml insanity got away from me, I am not as good at this as you are.
So far:
not going good together today; the Idea was to secretly work on 1..06 while pretending I do not know anything about it: #fail.....
:)

My biggest hang up in 1.06 being as I never tried anything more complicated then the 1.01 is trying to get gates for my "adventure" to work with the game without over-writes or killing the game itself by ending after you exit the gates : I wanted the player to be able to stay in the game just with a few extra systems that totally don't like to play well with others.

my biggest problem is that the Network and Post Heretic exist : so does DySy.....so being Original is not easy when I got to keep double checking everything to be SURE it does not replicate too closely to any of them. there are only so many ways to go " boom" but I have to still be very careful.
AS for my ideas......I am being very critical of them and I have NOW decided to write out everything and start over.
....I thought it was too violently killing ideas so I am going to make more user deadly instead ( did that make sense? )

ok: ill just get it to work with the gate thing : once the gates work you'll get the .xml : and NO, it will not be as fancy as the stuff already out there, I am not that good.

Please don't worry about emulating the Network too closely. One of the main reasons that I made the Network was to show that it could be done, and to be an example to modders wanting to do something similar. Take whatever code you want from it.

ok :) Thank You: But in my Idea : wanted to do something with 1.06 " secretly " because it is too new and has too many features Ill never understand:
BUT : when I got critical : I started to realize that things just were not the way I wanted: crashes, too many of something, etc:
TODAY I learned more about a " Bug report" which did effect my .xml work but I was blaming my work and I had destroyed it.
No big deal: at least I feel better knowing it was not totally my bad ideas doing it.
so back to start on blank page.



so Ill test run it tomorrow : but I THINK it should work and turn the save bug into a bed bug ( or not ).

551 systems too much? ( was wondering why it seemed to take forever to collect enough names )

Lets find out!!!!!!! :) : no "bugs" yet just Pteravores, but I'll deal with them in as few minutes.

551 is a lot... I have roughly 100-110 in the Network, and on my fast cpu it takes ~5 seconds to load. With 550, you might be looking at around 25 or more seconds. That is a long time to wait for a computer. Nothing is stopping it from working, but just thought I'd throw that out there. (of course, that many systems might be worth the wait)

However, the plans keep changing with the way the game responds ( or not ).

So I am going to stop this insanity: I am just going to run ahead with it and stop trying to bother with the way the game acts, this will work regardless:
Next stop: Node Id ="SF"
EDIT+++ the Game has 605 systems available to it ( right now ),
including the scripted ones like Heretic, etc : talk about a BIG universe :)

However --it will NOT use all of them, the ones I put in my .xml are gate options for the game, not systems you will run into simply playing, it is NOT like The Network, it just has options.1.06 sems to behave best if you do not backtrack and I thought 605 systems would keep a player from wanting to go back.....too much still ahead that might be more fun :)
( you might like to bring a Mining Laser and some guns )

I am actually doing things I tried NOT to do : best keep a military map or your guns loaded in 2380 :)

Right NOW I am working on the Jail and I think I will also create a minimum security jail to put the deatbeats to work.
: are there any other ideas ?

So FAR:
I have Earth Industries: makes some ships and sell EI made weapons, shields and some Ammo : I DO HAVE TO LOOK AT IT AGAIN;
EI also makes the tev9.....I have to make sure the player does not get that too easily, not that it will save them:)
Pacifica : makes ships : a few i gave it are not actually claimed so I just gave it to them or Corporate;
Corporate shipyard: makes ships that nobody actually claimed : the Cruiser , etc are too powerful to be simply running around the game from ship yards so they are not actually on any construction lists.
Outlaw, Pirate , Ares, Sung, Gaian...each has a few ships to build , some unclaimed, a few pirated ships ( mostly as guards or simply around the yards ) , and a few models were lumped in just to cut down on stations: such as the Heliotropes, they are in the Gaian yards.

Casino: not like I planned, I wanted a robbery scenario but it would be " the same" too much and Chase would let me have it over that :)
Sooooooooooo : the office is where you can get station missions;
Loading Dock is where you can sell stuff to the Casino:
Illegal Items: if you do not have a Black Market ID: you can sell to the Freighter pilots, just be careful of the Law. ;
the casino lets you play 100 credits at a time, if your lucky you get a cash card : if not you loose credits. it is not fancy , but being as the fancy casino stuff was done already, it is just an extra feature to the station. The original idea was for the casino to give a mission.......same thing , just not as I first thought it up to be.
: your chances ? can't say, but the House almost always wins in any casino.....and yes you CAN win, I sat here testing repeatedly.

Ever dock with a Nav Beacon and wonder why they could not be more useful? I know you have.
so in 2380 there are some becons with Emergency Refuel options,
there are some NavBeacons that are actually populated by attendants that work there........mmmmmm interesting.
Huari frontier Turrets: still in testing, but once they are working as I hope and you befriend the Huari you should be able to use them too.

Pilgrims: I got a few: a few actually have powers to "protect" them instead of shields but those are mostly designed to clear out wrecks for me, the player should not have to deal with them , they are not hostile.
some pilgrims are helpful to the player.....kind of.....they won't shoot the player, but the player has no control over them, they are not wingmen, they are Pilgrims.

Prisons: 2 : a Max, walled ; a work release, no walls , the pilgrims work off their fines.

I may have discovered a bug in your mod.

Whenever I destroy an enemy's shipyard, a new one is immediately spawned, not far from where the old one was. Two systems out from Eridani, I found an Outlaw Shipyard and destroyed it. Fifteen shipyards later, I had the dreadful feeling that the end would never be in sight, so I looted every wreck I could find and left the system.

Once I was able to go to Elysium for some much needed rest, I found that the system was infested with a Ranx Shipyard, a fuel outpost, a repair ship, and an insurance company. Elysium is supposed to be devoid of life, an only found either by using the jumpdrive over an existing gate, or by using the appropriate crystal. When I tried to destroy the Ranx Shipyard, I found that it continually re-spawned as well.

Now unless it was your intention to have such happen as I have described above, I do wish that you would correct these ... inconveniences.

Other than that, your mod has been great thus far in my testing of it, and I do look forward to seeing more of your mods. 
there are no bugs in 2380.....just an evil Shane behind it all :)
there are things in 2380 "inspired by the community" and one of those is " if we can get this technology why can't others?"
credit to ...no, I got a better idea.....systems named for pilots that got lost in the universe:)
