We all know you can escort freighters from Korolev stations. I believe there should be more than this.

I think that there should be a wider range of escorts, for example having to escort a colonisation fleet a system or so, or protecting a freighter fleet or even escorting an Ares agent who's come over to our side (which you only find out after you accept).

I also think that we should be able to transport the cargo (and/or people) ourselves. Like, becoming a freighter yourself, possibly getting someone to escort you. You can get missions like "You must take this experimental reactor to the scientists at the Civilian Research Agency". For the more ordinary cargo missions, like supplying commonwealth stations, the cargo is put in your hold. The amount of cargo is dependent on the size of your bay - the cargo takes up a percentage (25%?) of your maximum capacity. This would avoid making the freighter unbalanced, though I don't know if that's actually a problem.
Extending the idea of taking the cargo yourself, maybe you could have two paths you can go along in Korolev - that of the Freighter, and that of the Escort :) You can advance along the ranks of either (or both - please dicuss), and once you've gone all the way through all the missions you get to be Vice-president, president or something like that of the Korolev Foundation :)

Finally, I think for roleplaying stuff there should be a Korolev HQ in St. K's. That would be so awesome, seeing this massive starport thing :)

Maybe if you've become president or something you get your own room and stuff.

George mentioned this in the one interview.

I think having the player transport cargo would only work if one of a few things happened (otherwise it would be too easy)
live docking: the pirates dock with you while you are still alive and take the cargo
sensitive cargo: if you are hit by a momentum weapon the cargo gets damaged
timed cargo with enemies that can slow you down: cargo that needs to be there in a time limit and the enemies need to be able to slow you down some way like weapons that slow down your acceleration or top speed, really high momentum weapons, or "tractor beams"

one idea for a mission would be pick a spot where they should construct a new station and get rewarded based on how good that spot is (like is it near shippable products, is it safe, anything else that would make it good)
Crying is not a proper retort!
