Yes, i'd like that too, but i'd never considered it possible since i always found the AI's to be "off limits" kinda things. What I wanted is an AI ship that can autoupgrade the weapon, by scavenging or by docking with a station and purchasing it !(increasing the randomness of the weapons in the spawns and in the stations)
For example, when I usually find a good weapon in a station, but I don't have the money for it, I would say to myself: "ok, let's remember the position, and I will return later to buy it".
What if someone else would buy itAnd if you really want it you have to hunt down the ship ! (or dock and trade with it 8) )
