restricting player ships in adventure extensions

How would you restrict player ships in adventure extensions? For example if I want to make an adventure extension that assumes certain attributes for ships and items and if they use a ship not made for that extension (such as the vanilla ships or a random one they made) it could break the extension. The player ship could also introduce items that are not wanted in the mod.

The reason I bring this up is because I plan on making a series of tech demos but in those I need complete control over all items (I will be making all new items). I don't want to overwrite all items in the adventure extension as it is all in one file. (maybe there could be support of adventure folders? don't know how that would be done)

Maybe we can add a criteria attribute to the ship selection screen (defined by an advanture). E.g., ship selection would only show ships that have a certain attribute.

Add a ticket, please, so we can track it.

maybe it can be resolved by first selecting the adventure, then the ship (that can be a general playership, or restricted to the adventure extension)
