I currently have a fairly limited ability to access the internet... so I'm dumping this idea here and now, and generally asking if this can be done, and if it's simple enough to implement for a very novice modder (still learning to understand TranScript).

I'm looking to make an ammo-based weapon that runs on damaged things. The idea is that the TrashCannon line of launchers will either:
Be one or two launchers that can use different types of ammo.
Be several launchers specializing in one or maybe two types of ammo.

Ammo, in my mind, would be directly convertible from damaged things into, basically, ejecta material, for kinetic damage. Either at a Tinker or a decent level device to do it yourself.
Now for higher level stuff, you could, for instance, use an item (or a different device, or pay a higher conversion fee) to say coat the trash in hexagene for blast damage, or in tritium for thermo, or an ionizer for ion etc...

Idea for making higher level ammo more limited - convert into shots based on the damaged device's weight. Say a 1 ton device gives 50 kinetic shots, but only 40 blast shots, and only 30 ion/thermo shots.

Not sure how to keep this rolling... the computer insists on scrolling to the top of this box every letter I type... Gets frustrating. I'll edit in more later >.>

Opinions? Thoughts?
